Maya Pritchard is our volunteer admin worker.  Her main responsibilities are:

  • being the first contact point for our members
  • helping with creating a new electronic filing system
  • updating the member organisations' directory
  • booking venues and arranging catering for events
  • disseminating information to members of stuff

Alfred Douma is our volunteer finance officer.  He is dedicating his time to: 

  • manage the organisation's petty cash
  • define and implement the complete package of financial tasks and responibilities
  • take ownership of day to day running of financial business
  • provide timely financial planning, budgeting and analisys  
  • process payments and salaries
  • raise awareness of SRCF financial situation to MC and present necessary solutions

Andrea Verganti is our new capacity building officer and he will be working with 3-4 groups at a time to provide tailor-made advice and training to help groups achieve what they want to achieve. He also works with new emerging groups to develop their projects and manage effectively. Some of the areas Andrea could assisst you with are:

  • Fundraising for your projects
  • Advice and guidance on project development
  • Support on how to present your organisation to policy makers
  • Help in organising events for your communities etc

Eltayeb Hassan is our project manager.  His main duties will be:

  • To strengthen strategic links with mainstream, statutory and voluntary agencies to implement the vision and mission of SRCF.
  • To establish an active presence of SRCF within Southwark Alliance structures, and play an active role in the development of Southwark Interagency Refugee Network (SIRN) through coordination of meetings and other appropriate means.
  • To identify and implement strategic as well as grass roots led solutions so that Refugee Community Organisations (RCOs) and other service providers are empowered to best meet the needs of asylum seekers and refugees living in the borough.
